My Professional Journey
My passion for design, coupled with a keen interest in diverse cultures and aesthetics, has shaped my journey in Store Development Planning and Store Design. Over the past decade, I have worked with globally renowned brands, including H&M and Amazon, leading to a diverse and enriching career.
My career took off at H&M in 2012, where I was immersed in the dynamic world of retail design. This role allowed me to travel extensively across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, where I designed retail spaces ranging from 10,000 to 35,000 square feet, gaining invaluable insights into global customer preferences and design aesthetics. I successfully worked on over 100 store projects, including test fits and store layouts, led cross-functional teams, established the design team in India, and managed space validation programs, all while building lasting relationships with mentors and colleagues.
In 2018, I transitioned to EA Design Group, expanding my design expertise into healthcare and multifamily spaces. Under the mentorship of an extraordinary Design Principal, I honed my ability to perceive and utilize color's profound impact on human experiences. I managed a team of four designers and mentored several interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
My return to retail with Amazon Books in 2019 marked a pivotal point in my career. I delved into integrating cutting-edge technology within retail spaces, aligning with Amazon's core principles of innovation and customer obsession. My role evolved further when I joined the groundbreaking Amazon Style project in 2020. Here, I embraced my entrepreneurial spirit and led multiple initiatives, including team management, architect and engineer onboarding, lighting program creation, and telecommunications and security systems integration. This experience required a blend of passion, dedication, and strategic thinking to revolutionize the retail experience.
